#7: Nightmare on 13th

For just about 30 years, Nightmare on 13th has been dishing out horror to fans on a MASSIVE scale. They are always changing things up with new theming and attractions to keep people coming back every year. They seem to be the kings and queens of the animatronic. While their actors are awesome- they’re larger than life MACHINES are intense, imposing, and impressive.

Nightmare on 13th WILL be open for the 2020 season! Please check out their website to see what Safety Precautions they are taking this year.

New Scares on the Block:

The two new attractions we’re looking forward to going through are Dark Ride of Terror and Nightmare Ally! Dark Ride of terror looks like it may be one of my favorite haunt ideas ever – the theme is a broken down Dark Ride from a carnival, but since it’s gone tits up, you won’t ride, you’ll walk through it as you’re tormented by evil carnies! Love it.

Nightmare Ally looks to be a Gothic themed jaunt through some narrow passageways. We’re never going to shake our head at Gothic-themed stuff. It’s just so cool to see… and terrifying.

Back for More:

I-Scream is returning with its Killer Clown goodness, Nightmare Courtyard, where they put their amazing machines to work and a very impressive pre-show in The Nightmare Theater. Helheim is back, which takes all the dark-side of Norse mythology and puts it right in your face! Lastly, The New Castle returns, which looks like your classic haunted castled haunt that we will never say “no” to.
